EVERY cowork claims to be a community.
Unfortunately, that’s not always true in a meaningful way.
How do I know?
In 2006, I started a graphic design and branding company and QUICKLY realized I needed to get out of my apartment and find a place where I could be part of a community, interact with other entrepreneurs, and be supported in growing my business. From 2006 to NOW, I’ve been in all sorts of spaces that I thought were coworking environments, only to be disappointed because none of them fulfilled what I believe coworking can be – a thriving, supportive, and economically sustainable community.
What I’m saying is, coworking in its most effective form IS community.
By studying the sustainable communities I’ve been a part of, I’ve developed a clear process for creating TRUE coworking communities. I’m sharing my process in the hope that it will help other creators all over the world to build even more incredible communities. You’re welcome to use the system on your own, but each concept goes way deeper than what I can share on this website. If you’d like guidance as you implement these 5 steps, I’m always available for one-on-one cowork consulting.
